Cancer Information Event

As part of the personalised care and support agenda, the NHS, Macmillan and local organisations are working together to deliver an exciting day of activities and information opportunities for people living with and beyond cancer in north west Leicestershire. So far 16 local and national organisations have signed up to be part of a day which will offer support, alongside advice from health care professionals, free relaxation treatments, free goody bags for early birds and free tea, cake and treats. It’s a chance for local people to find out more about local cancer services and the range of organisations working across Leicestershire to support people living with and beyond cancer – with everything from advice on managing conditions, encouraging screening, understanding the after effects of cancer  and dealing with issues which impact people with cancer - such as finance and getting help from volunteers with day to day tasks when in treatment.
