General Overview

What is Hope House?

Hope House is the latest service to be opened by registered charity Hospice Hope and is a place specifically for people with life limiting conditions.  It differs from our three Support Cafés in that attendance is only for those with a life limiting condition and by referral.  People also stay for the duration of the day, rather than attending on a drop-in basis.  People can refer themselves to us (self-referral) or referrals can be made by health and social care professionals, a carer or family member.

We call the people who attend Hope House ‘guests’.

Carers are most welcome at our three Support Cafés but Hope House is for the patient. This allows the carer to take a much deserved break from their caring duties, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being well looked after.

There is no charge for being at Hope House; the transport, services (including complementary therapies) and delicious hot two course lunch are completely free.

Please feel free to download a copy of our Hope House Leaflet - if you would like a copy posting to you (or copies for noticeboards, information stands etc) please just send us an email with your details and these will be sent to you.
